U.S. Park Service Strikes Transgender References From Stonewall Website - The New York Times

They can erase all references to the trans community they want.

Doesn't change the fact that they exist!

They always have, and always will...

Long live the LGBTQ Community, and...

To heck with ignorance, intolerance and hate!

I’ll never understand this hatred of the transgender community. I think it just shows how vile, insecure and insane these haters are.

I don’t believe anyone has anything to fear from the transgender community. They are no one’s enemy. I hope anyone affected by this bigotry has the strength and support they need to get through these hard times.

Jeff.

I don’t understand it either. Why the hate? But I do believe in the case of the maga folks this community is only the beginning. They will be going after disabled and minorities next. Then who?

I saw a comment on the question as to why fewer people are enlisting in the military today. The comment was "would you want to bunk with a gay or transgender man?" It wouldn't make a difference to me. I am a big fan of don't ask, don't tell. I don't feel a need to publicly celebrate my heterosexuality and don't see a need for LGBTQ parades and such, but that's just my personal opinion. I don't agree that there are only two genders, just as there are not two pairings of the x and y chromosomes. Then there is the issue of mismatches of software and hardware and if god doesn't make mistakes then accommodations must be made. Wouldn't it be simpler to just say that every human has the same rights, regardless of the details?
